[4] who has appeared herein by James C. McEachon, Esq., as her attorney and filed an answer containing objections to the probate of said Will; by reason thereof delay is necessarily produced in granting Letters Testamentary in this matter, and it is uncertain when such contest will be terminated.

[5] The property of said deceased consists of personal property accounting, according to the estimates of myself and my co-executor, Mr. Phelps, to Two hundred Thirteen thousand Three hundred Twenty and 35/100 ($213,320.35) Dollars, made up of bonds and mortgages held by the testator, certificates of corporate stock, both common and preferred, in various corporations, bonds of various corporations, and a large number of very valuable pictures, with furniture, organs, piano and other belongings needing care and protection for their preservation. Said stock and bonds and mortgage obligations also are yielding income, and checks for interest and dividends have been and will be received which should be collected and the proceeds preserved for the benefit of the estate.

[6] Said sister, Edith F. Ranger, who has appeared as aforesaid by her attorney, James C. McEachon, Esq., is the only next of kin of said decedent, to the best of my information and belief, and is the only person who has appeared in this proceeding for the proof of said paper writing. 

As I am advised and believe, it is proper and necessary for the preservation of said estate that a temporary administrator or temporary administrators be appointed herein.

I have read the affidavit of Charles Henry Phelps annexed hereto, and the same is true to the best of my knowledge, information and belief.
