    Brace W. Loomis, being duly sworn says: I am a physician and surgeon practicing my profession and residing at 1373 South Salina St., Syracuse, N. Y. I have practiced my profession in Syracuse since 1879 and have lived in

Syracuse since about 1857. I knew the late Henry W. Ranger intimately and have known him ever since we were boyhood friends together. When he and I were boys, we lived within one block and a half of each other and our families were acquainted and I saw him constantly. I was about five years older than he. While we were not in the same classes, we attended the same high school. I know Mr. George H. Clark who was also a boy friend of both Ranger and myself and who still lives in Syracuse, and have known him for a great many years. I have read his affidavit in this proceeding verified Dec. 7, 1916, and recall perfectly the excursions of which

Mr. Clark speaks which he and I used to make with Mr. Ranger when the latter made sketches in the country. Ranger, early in life, showed great aptitude in drawing and attended a course at the Syracuse University. My intimate friendship with Mr. Ranger continued down to the time of his death, and whenever he visited Syracuse, he was a guest with me at my house. I cannot recall any instance when he visited Syracuse and did not come to my house. I was frequently a guest of his and stayed at his house when I was in New York, and also
