MEMORANDUM

Mrs. Watrous telephoned Mr. East at one-fifty and said that he just had a talk with Mr. A. Milch, an art dealer, and that Mr. Milch had given him some very important information. He thought it would be well for Mr. Phelps to stop and see Mr. Milch at the earliest opportunity and have a full talk with him. He said that Mr. Milch was very receptive and friendly and would no doubt talk very freely. He told Mr. Watrous that he knew that Mr. Ranger had gone to Porto-Rico--going up one night as he thought and returning the next night, as he certainly was not away more than one day. He stated that the object of Mr. Ranger's visit was to see Doctor Loomis, and a president of an Art Gallery in Syracuse and that he was with this latter gentleman during most of his stay. Mr. Watrous could not recall the name of this gentleman.
