problems of the family, child care, etc. Such a conference would give American women a chance to learn about the Soviet Union and would also allow them to discuss their own problems. Jessica Smith told of plans for a general cultural event to take place late in May and suggested that the Women's Committee participate in that week-end in such part as would be appropriate to the work of the Committee. Mrs. turner said she would like to work on the conference.

It was suggested that the next meeting be held some time in April.
