Have you noticed how very many people are still living in the 18th century, two wars have made little difference to them, I know someone who still thinks Dante Rossetti the greatest artist, & if one looks closely at her, one finds her mind is still living in those times. Very difficult to talk to people like this. So many of our troubles come from this cause I find, nationally & individually. The East so far ahead in truth, we so far ahead in matter. If only the one could look forward the other look back, but it would be harder for the west, as it requires a great imagination to look forward to truth. But I feel it will come.

Hope I don't bore you with my letters

This is to my way of thinking of course. To me what is called modern has in truth gone back.
