My dear Joan. I am happy you are in a pleasant place with nice people (and hope you sleep now and then too). Said with a stern expression I have a very nice studio here and my bed is practically in the sea. I make many drawings, watercolors – yet somehow see too many people also. Complete strangers friends of other complete strangers (supposedly my friends) just knock at my door and I say “come in“ – and there I am! It would be very nice, very, if you and Roma came. Answer partly immediately about how much you care to spend and exactly when you come. You should take a room you can work in my studio, our evening classes made us used to working in neatness. – (and outside too.) I have a kitchenette and there are also lots of restaurants for spending much or little, as you wish. While in N.Y. I called you but you had left. I was there for a very short time having a lot of things to attend to and
