Many of the pleasantest memories of my life are associated with Doctor Hall, for he has always been a remarkably good friend, one whose aim it was to promote happiness by being thoughtful of others and also by being ambitious intellectually, as this was a stimulus that has meant happiness to meβ€”β€”

I believe that a man possessed as he is with all the finer qualities that mean so much to a woman,β€”β€” thoughtfulness and unselfishness, with an unusually cheerful and lovable disposition is the one to bring continued happiness into his home.

You may say that I am overly enthusiastic, but I do not think so, for I could not do justice to him and to our friendship and say less.

I know Doctor Hall has faults, none of us escape them, but his have never impressed me

He fully deserves the great great happiness that has come into his life and let me extend to the one responsible for it my hearty congratulations.

Trusting that sometime I may have the pleasure of meeting you as the wife of Dr. Hall,

I am with best wishes,
Yours sincerely,
Emma Kooser.

February sixteenth, 1905.
