MRS. WARREN TREMAINE - ROUTE 6, BOX 334 - PHOENIX, ARIZONA

?

February 8 1944

Dear Emily,

I am a little late with this letter, but having promised Burton to write you, here it is.

Burton is "arren's brother, and next to Warren, I adore him best in the world. He lives in Connecticut, but at the moment is staying with still another brother, Carl, in Beverly Hills.

Warren had told B. he knew he would enjoy you, and I promised to write you, on the chance that you are still spending time in Beverly and would be nice enough to call him. Carl's number is Crestview 6-7490.

Burton is interested in painting, and I think Warren hoped you might be able to arrange for him to see some of the good collections. Besides which he is extremely fond of good fodd, liquor etc. and is really an elegant guy. For myself, I am devastated to have him so near and not be able to see him. I am servantless, for a change, and short of taking my children with me, never leave the house.

As a matter of fact, Warren has been thinking he should try to talk Burton into going up to Santa B. if Siposs is there, as he hasn't been too well and Warren thought Siposs might do him good. Warren left this afternoon for Los Angeles, to be there
