State of Tennessee
Davidson County 

Personally appeared before me Silas Jackson (col'd) resident of Marshall County State of Tennessee who being duly sworn deposes and says:

    That he had been driven from his house by the KuKlux Klan that they commenced threatening to kill him about the 1st of July - that since that time he has been continually threatened, that on the 12th inst he consulted Dr McClure, and was advised by him to leave the country, and keep out of the way, McClure also said this thing will soon come to a head and will be lanced. That on the 13th inst he came to Nashville, where he is now staying without any means of support.
