Before me personally appeared the undersigned Edward Lacey and being duly sworn deposes as follows:

My Name is Edward Lacey am a discharged Soldier. I live in the City of Memphis Tenn. On the night of 3rd May 1866 While I was standing at the house of John Malone near the City of Memphis two men came there and Shot and wounded me through the Shoulder and robbed me of $250.00 in money I saw them brake open a trunk in Malones house but could not say whether they got anything out of it or not - I can identify the men one had a wooden Leg -
