Before me personally appeared the undersigned John Robinson who being duly sworn deposes as follows

My name is John Robinson I live in the city of Memphis Tenn On the night of the 2" of May 1866. a party of white men came to my house and run me off robbed me of Carpenters Tools. Clothing. &c to the amt of $250.00. There was a party there during [[strikethrough]]the[[/strikethrough]] the day and threatened to burn my house but did not do it on account of some White Ladies living in the adjoining room one of the same party was there that night but I could not tell his name nor could the white Ladies he told the Ladies he lived in Pinch
