Livindle shot at him twice one shot taking effect in his neck while the trial was going on in the Court House. The crowd in it cursed the Bureau, and the Civic Law and said they did not care for either

If it had not for the Officer of the Bureau and the Military that happened to be [[?] Then the Negro and probably the Officer of the bureau would have been killed

I have no doubt but it was the intention to kill the Negro
