Just above the S.P. Station is the South San Francisco Opera House which opened its doors in 1888. Although its fate was uncertain for many years it was finally purchased, restored, and now serves once more as a community center.

On the left is the Main Post Office and Federal Court House at 7th and Mission Streets. Like most down-town buildings it is favored by the pidgeons. Hovering over it is a strange apparition who may or may not have some federal significance.
