2. Describe the qualities of the nominee's design which are considered to have contributed notably to the advancement of the profession:

This group practice Dental Building is one of the few building projects for which the nominee had sole design responsibility.

Although this was very large dental building (largest in the United States), it was too small a project for Gruen Associates and so the applicant together with Sydney Brisker, AIA, performed the architectural services on a "moonlight" basis.

The building quickly became the showplace in the United States for group dental practice and still on the itinerary of dentists from across the nation.
