My name is Elvira Walker I live on Poplar Street (at Mrs Neils) in the city of Memphis On the night of the 3rd of May 1866 five men knocked at my door I opened it and they entered to look for fire arms - I had none - They then broke open the door of the adjoining room occupied by Peter Bloom - one of the men - (called Capt. by the party) pointed the pistol at me and wanted to put his hand [[strikethrough]] to [[/strikethrough]] in my breast. I still refused he then stuck me on the breast with his pistol - then he put his hand on my breast and felt around, they took from me a watch worth $5.00 after they took Peter Bloom from the room I heard a man say "hush be quiet" then I heard Mrs Bloom say "I will not" go away, he said if you will not let me do with you smile shoot you - then all was quiet and after that they all left the house
