Before me personally appeared the undersigned Phillis Premier and being duly sworn deposes as follows.

my name is Phillis Premier. I am the wife of Lewis allo Premier  we live on Gayora Street in the City of Memphis Tenn.  On the night of the 2" day of May 1866 Policemen D. Roach and Serett with Joseph Chambers and Charley Lymon and other citizens came to my house and demanded our arms.  we said we had none. Charley Lymon knocked my husband down with his pistol and robbed him of $50.00 in money while I was standing over my husband Charley came to me and said "get away you dam Bitch" drawing his pistol at the same time as though he was going to strike me.  they broke open three trunks, and scattered their contents over the floor, they got $20.00 out of one of the trunks belonging to my brother, said they wanted to kill him because he was a soldier.
