Before me personally appeared the undersigned Thomas Boone and being duly sworn deposes as follows 

My name is Thomas Boone I live in South Memphis near Charleston Depot, on the night of the 1st day of May 1866 as I was going peaceably to my house - some persons shot me through the shoulder - I saw but could not recognize them - I had to go to the Fort often 

I was wounded and some persons stole from my house articles amounting to $20.00
