First pilot to arrive in Chicago by plane for the first national air conference sponsored by the National Airmen's association at the Wabash avenue Y.M.C.A., was Clinton T. Walker Jr., of Hamtramck, Mich., No. 2 figure in above layout. Others shown are: Walter Caldwell, No. 1, New York city; Dr. Coburn E. Walden, No. 3, Flint, Mich.; Dr. Theodore Cable, Indianapolis, No. 4, and Abram T. Jackson, Erie, Pa., No. 5. FLYING INSTRUCTOR IS KILLED AND WOMAN HURT AS PLANE CRASHES
Wreckage of airplane in which Roy Wilson, owner of airport in Schiller Park, and Mrs. Erma Olsen were riding when it fell last night two miles south of Park Ridge. Wilson was killed and Mrs. Olsen injured.   (TRIBUNE Photo.) (Story on page 5.)
