Goldsboro N.C. June 21st 1866

Major;

I have the honor to transmit to you the following statement concerning the wounds received by George Morrow, Chief of Police.

There was one incised wound inflicted on the left shoulder, some five or six inches in length, severing a vein from which the hemorrhage was very considerable. The nature of the wound was severe.

There was a stab over the region of the right kidney, about a half inch in depth and an inch in width.

One other stab in left side - but slight in its character.

The main wound was the one on the shoulder and was quite a serious one. The stab over the kidney while it was quite painful there was comparative little danger arising from it.

I am, Major
Yours Very Respectfully, &c.
W. T. Robinson M.D.
