Miss. Elisabeth McCousland

Dear Miss. McCousland

Just now I received the Springfield Union with your fine write-up about me. Why you are a Wunderkind like poor me. I have written so much in a short time. I am glad you were not offended that I had to send you away so early last week. The 3 cuts are OK. When you get here I'll tell you about the wrong titles/Hees man gave you.

Your papers in the country are generous to the artist. Here in NY City I had only one cut among 4 newspapers!! Many thanks! When you get to see me here I'll present to you a small cardboard jewell of mine
