a memoir he had started or to write one yourself. (Quite a task I would think) Do you recall his ever talking about Pascin? I have a notion that it was thru Pascin because of his warm friendships with so many American artists that the French influence reached & stimulated so many of them. There were, of course, other factors, but Pascin's influence which was important could easily be overlooked or underestimated. If your father has mentioned him or made any other comments about him, I would love to know.
Perhaps if you come to Newport before going off to Europe, as you hope, we will be able to see you. We hope so.
