Chryssa
4 September 1970
Dear Chryssa:
I was so very glad to hear from you because I did not know where you had gone or how to reach you. I do hope the Klinik is helping you. I know it is a very good and famous place, it is where Alfred and Marga Barr went in summer 1969 and they liked it so much that they went back at Christmas time.
The very same day that I received your letter the people at Rockefeller University were asking me what should be done with your two Ampersand pieced which I put in that little exhibition there in June. I called your [[strikethrough]] lawyeart [[/strikethrough]] lawyer to find out whether you had left the key to the warehouse with him and if he could tell me where to write you, but he could not. Rockefeller University has no safe storage place for art and the space where I made the exhibition has another slow going into it later in Sept. They can keep the two pieces for a short while and perhaps we can wait if you are coming back to New York.
I am very much delighted to hear that Denise Rene is interested in your work. She is a very clever and active dealer with many years of experience and I think if you had her as your dealer you would not really need one in New York. And the Mayfair in London, that would also be so good I believe. Perhaps you could work there in England to make the show for next spring?
For two weeks only I will be away from New York from 11 Sept to 27 Sept. I am going to Paris to see the Matisse show, then to Venice for a few days to see friends, then to Lisbon for a few days to see friends. Keep in touch and write me to my NY address where you go when you leave the Klinik. Much love,
