November 7, 1973

Dear Chryssa:

I had just written you on November 5 when your telegram came and then the next day your letter of November 1st. I certainly will write to Sir Norman Reid as you asked.

I think you are doing wonderfully well in Europe all on your own. The interest in an exhibition at the Kunsthalle, Dusseldorf is splendid, even if not until 1975, also the Museum Boymans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam.

Leverkusen sounds like a horrible place and I am sorry you have to work in such awful smells. But you have certain advantages in the interest and help of Wöllenstein. Too bad you are so far away from the Metternichs.

It was very good indeed to hear from you and get all the news. Take care of yourself as well as you can and don't forget to eat.

Sincerely,

Chryssa

P.S. By the way, when your New York exhibition opened, Margaret Barr wrote you a pleasant letter and sent you a check for $50 to buy a dress or blouse for the occasion of your opening. She told me later that the check was never cashed so I told her I was sure you had not seen it at all. Was I right?
