New Memorial Alter Will Be Dedicated at First Methodist- ^[[at last!]]

The Memorial Alter, which is the gift of the First Methodist congregation in memory of those who died in World War II, will be dedicated at the 11:00 o'clock worship service on Sunday morning.

The alter is located in the Crary Memorial Chapel making it available for funerals, small weddings, and other formal services. The altar panel was carved by the nationally known Marion Sanford. Miss Sanford is a former Warren girl.

The design of the panel is that of the Crusaders kneeling before the Cross. The men of the Paramount Furniture Company constructed the altar.

Charles V. Pickett contributed the materials. He and Mrs. Pickett also gave the vases in memory of their son, Arthur C. Pickett.

The candlesticks were given by Mrs. Ray Shepard and family in memory of their son, Arthur C. Pickett.

The cross is the gift of Mr. and Mrs. Warren James in memory of their son, Francis W. Janes, and the chalice was given by Mr. and Mrs. John Campbell in memory of their son, Eugene M. Campbell.

The Bible for the lectern was donated by Mr. and Mrs. John Crowley in memory of their son, John Lawrence Crowley, and their daughter, Eleanor Crowley.

The sermon will be delivered by the Rev. Stephen T. Crary. Rev. Crary grew up in the First Methodist Church and Sunday
