Another one of those overtime jobs was tossed to me as a sop and it's a funny one that sent me to France and Italy for three weeks to see the work of Japanese artists! It is a Japanese show of painting and sculpture which our International Council is going to circulate. I was supposed to go to Japan and Europe (but just couldn't do both especially as my father's now so much worse. So when I found another member of our staff was going to Japan on another job I gave that half of it to him. Our

show opens in San Francisco Museum end by April but I can't imagine how we'll get it done in time.

Do you know of any first-rate Japanese who is still a citizen of Japan but working on the West Coast? I've read several enquiries but it seems they mostly come to N.Y.

I am longing to see you and am determined to get West sometime this year. There's you two to see, and my dear old cousins in Carmel, my nephew in San Francisco and my niece in Sacramento!
