dock strikes held up all but airmail subscriptions, so that it has only recently appeared here. Big spread on LUNDERBERG.

That's about all the news - except that we have been adopted by a CAT. Freddie is a six-toed cat, baby-faced, faded strawberry blond, and BIG. Seventeen pounds at the last weighing. We don't know how old he is or where he came from - he simply appeared and took over. He is calm, good-natured, likes people and food. He knows where his food is kept, opens the cupboard door and rolls the cans out on the floor. I dread the day when he learns to use the canopener!

And now, dear Dorothy, we want to hear news of you. When are you coming out to L. A.? We would so love to see you! Perhaps we'll make New York again one of these days, but not soon, as there are too many things to keep us here. Lorser is still teaching, and we have his big show to get together, and so on.

Forgive the long silence. We always love you and think of you, and we [[strikethrough]] and we [[/strikethrough]] could at least have written a postcard, but there seemed to be too much to say.... Keep well and happy, and let us hear from you. Much love from both,
