FEITELSON ON ART : May 8th broadcast

ANNOUNCER :

The first "Manifesto of the Futurist Painters", proclaimed in 1910, presented a radically new and original approach to art. Rejecting all art of the past, and extolling the dynamism of the "age of speed", Futurism was a revolutionary philosophical and aesthetic movement which attempted to link art with modern life in unprecedented images. Lorser Feitelson, who many years ago experimented with the kinetic possibilities of Futurism, will today discuss the ideas and innovations of Futurist painting.
