Dear Mr. Wood:

I dropped in at the Ferargil Gallery the other afternoon and saw your exhibition there. One canvas which seemed available for the International next fall was your "Death on the Ridge Road," which is a fine piece of work.

Mr. Walker told me that he would be very glad to reserve it for me, or if it is sold to try to sell it with the proviso that it be exhibited here next fall. I feel, however, that if by fall you are to have a canvas which will give the New York critics something fresh to chew over, it would be well to have in the exhibition instead of anything that I might have seen in the Ferargil Gallery. Will you not let me know what the prospect may be?

    Sincerely yours,

SG:B Director
