I have received five hundred dollars ($500) from Michael Erlichman as full payment in advance for a painting by Horace Pippen. Mr. Erlichman is to be the sole and only judge of the merits of the painting. Should Mr. Erlichman find the painting unsatisfactory for any reason whatsoever, the money advanced must be returned completely within thirty (30) days after my receiving a written notice to that effect.

If I do not furnish the desired painting within six (6) months Mr. Erlichman has the right to terminate this contract and to immediately have the five hundred dollars ($500) returned to him at the end of that time.

This is an exact duplicate of receipt which I hold until painting is delivered.
