GEORGE HELLER 2 WEST 45TH STREET NEW YORK 19, N.Y. October 18, 1945 Mr. Robert Carlen 323 South 16th Street Philadelphia, Penna. Dear Mr. Carlen: I am enclosing two checks - one in the sum of $150.00, covering payment for the painting by Horace Pippen, and the other in the sum of $25.00, for your expenses in connection with the trip to New York. I am sorry we were not able to use Mr. Pippen's painting, but the consensus of opinion seemed to be that it would not adapt itself for use as a poster. Sincerely yours, George Heller i/gh enc. (2 checks) Sorry but this letter was on the bottom of my correspondence. GH
