Dear Bob,

The check for the Pippins is attached and here is my accounting of it. Price for the two pictures, $1000. Less $25 for cleaning "Water Boy", less $49, the freight charge I paid here, receipt attached. So the check is for $926. I am not charging you for five collect telegrams.

The two Klees left here yesterday by registered and insured mail. By now you must have the other things since they left here a week ago.

Keep me informed on things you have for sale but only if they are of top quality. The Klees, for instance, were not. I am interested only in art which is of a better quality than we already have in our collection; and this goes for Klee, for prints and for French paintings of which we have around 125 pieces. I am willing to pay good prices for top works. If the price is large (say above $2000) I can pay only in several monthly installments.

Best Regards,
CO.
