Unfortunately I do not remember the year I bought this work, only that it was his first showing at your gallery. I do remember your mentioning the fact that since he hadn't enough money to frame his paintings you and he went to junk shops and picked up the least expensive old gold frames you could find. Mine has the original frame. 

However you undoubtedly have a record in your books of the date of that showing.

This specific work of his measures 16½ X 8 3/4 on the back It represents a bucolic winter scene There is

a log cabin on the left with snow on the roof. To the right are trees laden with snow and snow on the ground. A man stands to the right of the cabin. 

If I remember correctly there was only one other burnt wood drawing similar to this at the showing.

In addition to the Certificate of Provenance would you also be good enough to give me an approximate valuation on the work for insurance
