Mr. Robert Carlen
323 South 16th Street
Philadelphia, PA

Dear Mr. Carlen,

You have probably already received a Members' invitation to the opening of the next Morris Gallery exhibition: the David J. Grossman Bequest, paintings by Horace Pippin and Franklin Watkins. I would like to add to this my personal invitation to this opening. Knowing what a large part you played in the formation of Pippin's career, I would be very interested to hear your reminiscences of him.

The bequest includes seven works , The Giant Daffodils, West Chester Court House, Pink Cyclamen, Abe Lincoln, the Good Samaritan, The Moose, and Maple Sugaring.

I hope that you are able to come, and very much look forward to meeting you.

Sincerely,
Ann Friedman
