Houma, LA 70360

Dear Mr. Putnam:

I wanted to tell you how pleased I am to have consumated the purchase HARIAN ANDERSON II by Horace Pippin for $7000. It is handsomely framed and in perfect condition. We will deliver it to the Schomburg Center as soon as itiss returned from the exhibit. I am sure that is a painting that Ms. Jean Hudson originally wanted for the Schomburg Center and therefore will be delighted with it. Thank you for putting the check in the mail so I may pay the owner.

I wish I could have agreed on your purchase price for THE ARTIST'S WIFE but with the publicity from the Newsweek article the owners are standing firm. I will be back in the gallery after labor Day. I hope to hear from you then.

Sincerely,

Terry Dintenfass
