Vol. 1. No 2105 A.C.D.C. 1866 9 Providence, Rhode Island Aug 25th 1866 C 278. R.F. & A.L. Vol 8, 1866, Stewart. H.G. Agt. Bureau R.F and A.L. for R.I. States that he has furnished homes for 446 freedmen since April last. That he has expended about $1200. for rations, medicines &cc. to meet which $375.00 was drawn from Treasury R.I.F. Ass'n. Desires the Bureau to pay that amount or they shall be compelled to discontinue.
