I at once made inquiries, and learned the names of two of them, and when they could be found. This I deemed sufficient to trace them and find them when wanted.

Early the next morning I learned that one of the men staid all night in this place and had then gone to the R.R. Station to return to Washington.

I had the Constable go at once to the station and arrest him, and he was brought before the magistrate and required to furnish bonds for his appearance as a witness against the other two, he not being connected with the shooting.

From him all that was necessary was learned in regard to the others, and a warrant has been issued in Washington for their arrest on the charge of shooting the colored man.
