freedmen has no menes at hand and are compled to wiat untill the end of the year before they can have any money the crops has ben a failer throughout the Steat so fair as I learn and meny of the planters say the cleare expences not withstanding the freedmen worked well and som planters declare the worked better then ever before while others complaine and say they could not get the freedmen to work but let this be as it may I shall endevor to carre on my School to the best of my ability I have had a great deal of troble in geting up this School. I think now since I have started I can put Schools all through the county - Schools are very much needed in the section of country but the people are too poor to suport them without the ade of the Government I think collord teachers would meet less oppersision then white Teachers I have ben advised by Mr Joseph Warren, Sub. Com of education how to proceed in geting my school I would be I happy to here from you at any time and would like to keep you posted in regards to my success and am prod to present you one more School to ad to the number now in progress in this steat
