Composed of Warren, Claiborne, Yazoo, Issaquena, Washington, Bolivar, Sunflower, Coahoma and Tunica Counties.-

Lieut Fielding Neale in charge reports one authentic case of assault with intent to kill, and remarks that from actual record 23 cases in 87 are assaults committed by Employers to drive away laborers without payment of wages. Notices a large increase of applications for charitable aid;- assigns the prevalence of Cholera as the cause.
Adds that a slight decrease in the number of rations issued in his district is perceptible.- Says that complaints from the out-lying counties of his district do not reach the office.-
