Moore of Stateburg S.C. proposing measures for the relief of sick destitute freedpeople, with assistance from the Bureau, &c. - Recommends that Dr. Moore be appointed a Contract Physician, with charge of the Freedmen in the vicinity of Stateburg, S.C.-

Respectfully returned to the Chief Medical Officer with the remarks, that as the Bureau has no organization at Stateburg, and as there are no facilities for the transportation of Medical stores or for communicating officially with, or securing communications from a med officer at that point, and as the Surgeon in Chief is informed that it is not in contemplation to extend the operations of the Bureau further than is absolutely necessary; he does not feel authorized in recommending the employment of a medical officer at that point.

Genl, Bureau R., F., & A.L. - As there appears to be no present suffering among the freedmen in the vicinity of Stateburg and the needs of these people seem by the letter of Rev. Mr. Wilson to be prospective, it is respectfully recommended that no action, for teh present at least, is required.
