Personally appeared Daniel Crawford who after being duly sworn says that he has not been in the habit of inciting civilians from the store of J L. Engoll neither did [[strikethrough]] spe [[/strikethrough]] use any abusive language to Mr Engoll or any other person at that time as I was passing down with Geo Croft a col'd man who had some silver to sell, Mr Engoll invited him in his store. I told him to wait until I returned, with a newspaper that quoted the value of silver & Gold, soon after that I was arested by a city guard, and the result is I have been fined 1.00 Dollar & cost 1.50 being 2.50 Dollars which I have been required to pay this money or be placed in prison.
