State of Virginia}
Richmond County  }    Personally appeared W. Appel who after being duly sworn says that he was a witness this morning before his Hon. Judge Gibons in the case mentioned in the within, that he there testified that the men Croft and Dan'l were in rout for my store, when Mr. Engells called him in, when I heard Daniel say to him, to wait until he came back with a paper by which he could learn the value of Silver & Gold. I learned from him that he had some for sale, he had offered it to me. I declined buying.  I heard no abusive language from Dan'l  or any other person except the brother of the above named Engells-all of which I testafied before the Recorder [[strikethrough]] in [[/strikethrough]] this morning, after all this the fine & costs is  collectable from Dan'l 8 up $2.50. which I heard for him,-,
