Boston Feb. 16th 1867.

Gen. O.O. Howard:

Sir.
I am getting on as well as could be expected in collecting the money for the Asylum at New Orleans.

There has been so many appeals made to the public for different objects, that the people seem to have given about all they intend to at present.

I hope to be in Washington D.C. the latter part of this month.

Gen:; Some letters will be sent to me, care of the F. Bureau at Washington;- please order that they be taken care of till I call for them.

Very truly Your ob't. Sv't.
Louise DeMortie
Supt. O.H. N.O.
