It was only after the annulling of my contract that I ever neglected or refused to promptly furnish bothe attendance and medicines to freemen when called upon, and then only in some mild cases & gave them written prescriptions to get their medicine elsewhere but never at any time neglected or refused to attend them when called upon; and usually when I gave written prescriptions they would return to me stating that they could not get the medicines when I would invariably give them such as they stood in need of 
A the time the contract was made 2nd Lt Smith 193 NY Vol was agent, but was soon after superseded by Capt. G W Kelly who was on duty until after the termination of my contract
