Sir,
I have received a communication from Bvt Maj Gen J. B. Kiddoo, Asst Commissioner Bureau R. F. & A. L. State of Texas (copy of which I herewith enclose) ordering me to arrest one A. G. Milsted for an alleged violation of Law in regard to the disposition of the property of Abram Milsted deceased. The said A. G. Milsted is also charged with appropriating to his own use and benefit the funds and personal property of a colored woman formerly owned by said Abram Milsted deceased, I have reason to believe that an arrest would be resisted by said A. G. Milsted, therefore I have the honor to request that I may be furnished with a guard sufficient to enforce the order of Gen Kiddoo in causing the arrest of said Milsted and bringing him to Brownsville for trial.
