Dear Charlene,
We know your retirement is some time from now, but we want you to know how very much we value and appreciate all you have meant to the schools and especially to the children and youth of West Virginia. It is so reassuring, especially during the current era, when someone of great personal integrity and remarkable ability commits her life to serving others, as you have.
Both of us are excited and happy about your new professional commitment. While you have already provided leadership to the National Center for Human Relations, your opportunities will soon be greatly expanded – and for this we are thankful. With friendship,
Nyara and Jim
