Wondrous Night

Down in adoration falling,
Lo, the angels guard the Child.
Faithful shepherds caught in wonder
Where the Babe lay undefiled.

Angels singing in the heavens,
O'er the stable filled with hay.
Star of wonder hovering over,
Manger where the Christ Child lay.

Wise Men came from distant places,
Led there by the holy star.
Kings with gifts of gold and incense,
Traveled from their homes afar.

On this holy night so joyous,
Angelic Host God deemed to send,
Brought good tidings and a message
Of peace on earth, goodwill to men.

Blessed Christ Child [[image]]

Blessed Christ Child in the manger,
Endow me with Thy peace tonight -
Take me by the hand, sweet Jesus,
And make me precious in Thy sight...
Blessed Christ Child in the manger,
Let me see Thy radiant star -
Shepherds stand and watch beside Thee,
Awaiting Wise Men from afar...
Blessed Christ Child in the manger,
Fill me with Thy gentle grace,
Angels in the heavens adore Thee,
While a light shines 'round Thy face...
Blessed Christ Child in the manger,
God protects Thee from above-
Smile on me, oh holy Infant;
Come and touch me with Thy love!

Now there were shepherds in that
region living in the fields and keeping
the night watch over their flock.
