The Message of the Bells

The Christmas bells are ringing
In the church upon the hill;
They echo through the valley
And resound across the rills.
They chime a wondrous message
Of great prophecy fulfilled.
The Christmas bells are ringing,
They echo far and wide;
They tell about the Christ Child
Who was born this holy night.
They peal a living message
At this blessed Christmastide.

Loise Pinkerton Fritz

And suddenly there was a heavenly host with the angel, praising God and saying: "Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to those on whom His favor rests."
Luke 2:13-14

Christmas

It's mistletoe and holly,
A world of joy and cheer,
A Santa Claus so jolly,
The best day of the year.
The gifts all wrapped so brightly
And bows of red and green,
All sealed and tied so tightly,
A lovely Christmas scene.
It's candles in the windows,
A wreath upon the door,
The snowflakes softly falling,
And, oh, so much, much more.
A church all brightly lighted,
The music on the air,
The Christ Child and the manger
A tree with tinsel fair.
It's hearts all filled with loving,
A faith and hope complete,
A friendly special greeting
For all the folks we meet.
A portion of forever
We celebrate with cheer,
Christmas lends its magic
To all the whole long year.
