6Early 4. conventional life, and certainly I heard about another side of life, probably in a critical way and I was curious. R: What, the seamy side of life, you mean? B: Not the seamy side, the Bohemian side. It sounded great when people didn't marry and smoked cigarettes. It sounded very interesting to me. ?: So you had a whole vision of what an artists life would be? B: Yes, yes I did. [[strikethrough]] ?: Is that why you wanted to...? [[/strikethrough]] B: Incidently, I horrified my mother because I said I didn't believe in marriage. I would have loved to be married but I don't believe in marriage. I don't think it matters. I think that if people really love each other it doesn't matter whether they are married or not. On the other hand I think in society the way it is, it's a great thing to be married and it certainly deals with bureaucracy. One has a very tough time if one is close to a person and not married to them.
