BOB: [[strikethrough]] Rajagopal getting no salary. You said "...speaking with no salary." [[/strikethrough]] You mean Rajagopal organized things and he didn't get paid?

B:  Yes, Raja was wonderful. I liked the idea. It attracted me that he spoke the way he did without being highly organized. [[strikethrough]] and [[/strikethrough]] Now though, he is highly organized. Money used to come in as a toss. In the early days you never heard a word about money and the atmosphere was different.

There was a conflict. Here was a man who said extraordinary things, I thought. They were like the ancient teachings from the East, which have great meaning and appeal to me. And yet, in life, he was not celibate at all. He loved beautiful cars. He had wonderful clothes. He didn't like lawyers, yet he turned against Raja, using lawyers.
It's a long complicated story and I feel a duality there, between the teacher and the man.

BOB: You aid you had five interviews with him.

B:  Yes.
