Your card says you would head back to Riverdale (and 857 Broadway) the 17th - today. We wish you had peeled off the Merritt (or the Turnpike) and dropped in on us.

We'll try and get up to the Vineyard in August the sixth through the twentieth. I had a nice message from Bernardine Scherman saying she looked forward to the planned get together - but Kathy doesn't like "long" trips and would prefer for us to come to her. However the younger daughter Karen is getting married next week and Kathy & Axel were up in the Canadian wilds earlier this month. I do want you to meet Bernardine and it will come to pass - as so many things do which seem to move an an incredibly slow pace.
